On hold, waiting for Cemu texture rewrite 1.4~1.5 to stabilize. If brightness and alignment are fixed, about half of the shaders will need to be removed/updated
XCX stopped crashing in cemu, so I got around to fixing some stuff. and noted that there are still some other issues.
- Crashes on cemu 1.11.5 -> upgrade to latest Cemu version, 1.12.1b works well as of now
- Purple garbled textures -> Later versions tend to work better but it's not fixed yet (1.12.1b pretty good)
- Grass/bushes missing since v 1.7.2 -> can't be fixed with graphic packs
- Audio mixing is off -> can't be fixed with graphic packs
21:9 GUI fix issues
Xenoblade.Chronicles.X.v1.0.2.JPN.CEMU.V1.8.1b.HOOK.0.5.1.1-ALI213 File marked as fake or malicious, links removed. Using BitTorrent is legal, downloading copyrighted. Cemu is an impressive Wii U emulator that's able to run all your Nintendo games. Captain Toad Treasure Tracker, and Xenoblade Chronicles X are able to run.
- Characters are squished on equip screen -> Due to same shaders scaling GUI -> Needs patch to be fixed

overwriteRelativeLodBias setting is disabled by default in rules.txt, uncomment for sharper textures and shimmering

Over brightness, Nope, still broken. I'd hoped uf_remappedPS[0] could be used as differentiator between a day and night profile.. fell apart once you reached main map area.

Raises black level to compensate drop in exposure, balances with gamma. Slightly lowers reflection to compensate gamma contrast peak brightness. ie darkest part is slightly brighter, middle part is more contrasty. 6191ba1

Buffer alignment is one pixel off leading to leaking light around characters, character bleeding into depth etc. Various causes usually a combination of alpha blending is low-res, shadow is another res and stencil ('fake DOF'). Some can't be fixed, some can be fixed but needs to scale everything to main resolution, some fixes break other areas etc. Looking into scaling half res to full res, but this in turn has a lot of unwanted side effects on every other buffer.

And done, rounding up internal res x1.333 smooths out transitions, helps a bit with shimmering and masks remaining edge bleeding 9a9362e

1x1 is used for cut scene shadows, not related to over brightness. Closing.
Shadow acne fix, Z tweak, there are probably more locations. Just don't overdo it and get floating shadows. Go back later and see if a proper fix can be done instead of magic z values.

.Alignment of DOF blur is off when blending horizontal/vertical.
A perfect fix would be preferable but d226a06, and c1d361f are good enough, no more floating lights in cut-scenes.Count down movie when opening the stasis pod is broken again, this was a rule fix, but I can't remember what now.

Quick facts:- Can run encrypted Wii U images (WUD) and RPX/RPL files
- Internal resolution is 1920x1080 (if supported by game)

- Contains basically no optimizations. Expect slow framerates and long load times.
- Windows x64 only (other platforms may be supported later)
- Requires OpenGL 3.3
- Tested on NVIDIA: Runs fine on most recent driver
- Tested on Intel: Garbled output but runs if OpenGL version is supported
- Untested on AMD

FAQ:
Can the controller be configured?
Not yet, it's locked to using the GamePad via keyboard. Proper controller support will come in a future release.
Can I run extracted games?
No, when launching a Wii U executable directly (.rpx) no external files are supported. If you want to run a game, it needs to be in raw dump format (WUD or ISO).
Is there supposed to be sound?
No, audio is not yet supported.
What's next?
The current plan is to release new updates at least every two weeks. A more detailed roadmap is in the works.
